Cremation Urn: Dancing Lilies Wooden Urn This Dancing Lilies Wooden Cremation Urn is a unique piece of art that takes a period of three months of complete. This urn is made of black cherry burl wood that is inlaid with earth green and red resins and embedded gold leaf. Each urn undergoes a lathe spinning process and takes about two months to dry in the kiln. Layers of resins are then intricately added, taking at least 24 hours for each layer to be completed. A layer of gold leaf is placed over the surface of the urn and pressed into the inlaid areas. The cremation urn is then sanded down and sealed with a thin clear resin layer. This piece is finished with wax and polishing to give it a beautiful shine. There is an irregular pattern of wood and resin throughout the entire urn.
