Round Horse Hair Cremation Urn

This piece is hand made and horse hair fired by the artist which ensures a truly one of a kind urn. The horse hair firing process requires removing the piece from the kiln at approximately 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, and rapidly placing horse hair on it before it cools. The horse hair burns on the pot leaving a dramatic carbon mark behind. This piece has multiple coats of terra sigillata giving it a soft, luminous sheen.

Due to artisan hand-crafting, all weights and sizes are approximate and colors/patterns may vary slightly. Proudly made in the USA. Please allow 4-6 weeks.
