The unique fingerprint of your loved one is precision etched into the precious metal to create a lasting keepsake. We can also engrave the back with text, photo or clip art. Allow three weeks for photo laser engraving.

How to Collect Fingerprints | How to Submit Prints
We recommend using "baby/child-safe" or "non-toxic" ink pads and plain white paper (no lines). Black ink works best. Begin by studying the thumb of the person whose print is being taken. Select the area of the finger that is the most interesting (any print will work, it doesn't have to be a thumbprint). It is generally the area on the pad of the thumb where the ridges swirl. Ink this area. Practice taking prints on any blank white sheet of paper. Lightly touch the inked surface twice and then press down on the paper. Use more of a tapping motion than a rolling one. When you are satisfied with the look of the practice prints, place five good prints along the bottom of plain white paper or a white card. To scan your print- lay print flat against scanner glass (you may need to apply gentle pressure to scanner lid). Scan at 600 dpi and save in JPG format. Review your prints. If fingerprints look blurry at 100% on screen, you will probably need to adjust your settings. Place your order, then submit your high resolution digital file in JPG format to service@memorialgallery.com, please include Order Number in subject line.

Please note: each fingerprint or other  print is unique and will not look exactly like photo samples. Quality of finished charm depends on quality of submitted print. Because they cannot be re-stocked we do not provide refunds on fingerprint jewelry.

Mail a hardcopy or email a digital image of the prints (do not send originals) to: Memorial Gallery P.O. Box 679, Gig Harbor, WA 98335.  Call 253-649-0567 or email service@memorialgallery.com. Sterling silver and gold-plated pendants generally take 3 business days from time prints received. Allow 3-4 weeks for solid 14k yellow or white gold and platinum orders. Allow additional 3 weeks for photo laser engraving.
